A Registered General Contractor license (RG prefix) is jurisdiction-specific, recognized within Indian River County. This is distinct from a Certified General Contractor (CGC prefix) statewide license. Deckmasters holds the registered class for Indian River County operations.

Deckmasters Marine is insured with both Jones Act insurance and Longshoreman's workers' compensation (USL&H — the United States Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act). These are the marine-specific insurance classes that apply to construction work performed over and adjacent to navigable waters.

Our liability insurance is marine liability as well — which covers you, the customer, in the unlikely event of an accident. A Certificate of Insurance naming your property as an additional insured is available within 24 hours of request. Ask when you reach out.

Every Deckmasters project that touches state waters has been permitted through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Projects meeting U.S. Army Corps of Engineers thresholds carry the appropriate Section 10 or Section 404 authorization. Indian River County Building Department permits and community ARB approvals are coordinated on every applicable project.
