Warranty
We stand behind our work.
We don't hand you a warranty document full of fine print. If something we built isn't right, you call us and we come back and repair it. That is the whole policy.
If it's our work and it's not right, we fix it.
There is no formal warranty certificate to decode. If a dock or seawall we built develops an issue that traces back to our work — a pile connection that wasn't properly seated during installation, a seawall cap that cracked because the concrete pour wasn't executed to specification — you call us. We return, we assess, and we make it right.
We have done business on the Indian River Lagoon for twenty-one years by fixing what needs fixing, not by pointing at fine print. That relationship is the warranty. Keith walks the finished structure with you at close-out so you know exactly what was built and how it holds up over time.
Some components carry their own manufacturer warranty.
Boat lift motors, winches, and drive systems are manufactured goods sold with the manufacturer's own warranty terms. Those terms — which typically run one to five years depending on the manufacturer and component class — are the governing warranty for mechanical failures in those systems.
Deckmasters installs boat lift hardware to manufacturer specifications and coordinates warranty service calls when they arise during the warranty period. We document the installed hardware make and model at handoff so the warranty registration is clear. Marine-grade hardware — fasteners, brackets, cleats — carries manufacturer ratings published in their product specifications; we specify hardware rated for the salt-water exposure conditions at your waterfront and document those specifications in the as-built package.
Storms and normal wear are a different thing.
Standing behind our work means construction issues — the things we control. Damage from a named hurricane, storm surge above the design tide elevation, or catastrophic storm debris is an insurable event under a property and casualty policy, not something we built wrong. And the normal weathering of wood and decking over years — the surface of pressure-treated lumber at year ten is not what it was at year one — is expected maintenance, not a defect.
If you are planning a modification — adding a lift, extending a finger pier, changing the decking material — call us first. It is always easier to do it right than to undo someone else's work, and we are glad to advise on the cleanest approach.
